Jute grows quickly without the need for fertilisers or pesticides and is completely biodegradable, so it’s kind to the environment. While this material is immensely strong, it’s also pliable enough for intricate weaving. It’s typically golden brown in colour with a lustrous quality, but as it’s a natural material no two baskets will be the same.
